About Hanataba

Hanataba is a Swedish invention inspired by Japan. Tying a bouquet is not easy, but with a Hanataba, you can create creative, airy, and beautiful bouquets without a florist education. Choose your favorite flowers (they can just as easily come from the roadside, a florist, or the supermarket), stick them through your Hanataba, twist, and enjoy your bouquet.
Hanataba is sold both through retailers and through the company’s own webshop, which Trendflow has been tasked with marketing.

Goals

Trendflow’s main goal for the work with Hanataba is to drive conversions through their own website and webshop via ads on Facebook and Instagram. The advertising primarily focuses on their own product, Hanataba, but also on another floral tool, “flower fakir.” The objective is, of course, to achieve a stable, positive ROAS while strengthening the brand by exposing ads to relevant target groups.

Solution

Since Hanataba is a unique innovation that is both design- and trademark-protected, the value lies mainly in the product itself, but also in the Hanataba brand. Therefore, it has proven important to have ads that clearly explain and demonstrate both how the product works and how beautiful bouquets can be created with it.
The same principles apply to driving sales of the flower fakir, which is also a creative tool that everyone can use to create floral arrangements at home. The sales of this tool also benefit from building the Hanataba brand with the right associations. Likewise, the focus has been on ads that inspire and explain how the product is used. Naturally, we adapt the ad content depending on where in the customer journey the target groups are, as well as through analysis and testing.
In addition to the ads, we have actively worked on building a campaign and audience structure that allows advertising in three different countries (Sweden, Norway, and Denmark) with constant and positive ROAS. This has been achieved through testing and ongoing development of target groups and the balance between them, as the conditions in the ad account change and evolve.
